Our 2nd Celebrity Cruise, and we sailed the 10 night cruise out of Miami on May 5 to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire and Key West. The ship was full, and the staff and food was (as expected) exceptional. We have cruised on Princess, Holland America and Norwegian. We went back to Celebrity and were not disappointed. We are foody's and had dinner at Murano 3 times because the food quality, service and presentation was exceptional. Generally speaking, the food across the ship was very good, with an excellent selection. The Captain of this ship will be the captain for the new Celebrity Edge. The Cruise Director (Rick) from England was the top director of all our cruises -- unfortunately, he left half way through it and his replacement was so-so. We had a balcony of the 7th deck, perfect view, and if you pick the forward side of the ship, you will be closer to the pool(s), health club and the live theatre.
If you are going, I would recommend the Beverage Package (if you drink), my spouse had the classic and I had the premium. The Beverage Director told me 85% of the guests had a drink package, and 65% were premium. Its well worth it if you like to drink, and covers pretty much everything including premium water, specialty coffee's, smoothies, etc. We would definitely return again.
TIP-- When embarking, always show up 1 hour or just before the ship departs, you will never have to stand in line because everyone else shows up at the same time 3 hours before so they can have lunch on board. You will save yourself 60-90 minutes.
Cabin was clean and well appointed. Due to the angel of the room, the veranda is slightly larger which was quite nice.
