My 5th cruise and second time on Azura for me. On the first cruise on her I found it very difficult to find my way around, but this time I managed to figure it all out very quickly. We had embarkation time of 3. 30 p.m and boarded accordingly... however, once on board it was utter chaos, with passengers trying to get down to muster and newly boarded passengers trying to find their cabins. I had my mother with me in a wheelchair and the amount of ' able bodied ' people shoving themselves into the lifts was mind boggling. Such rudeness! Muster was late and the same chaos ensued when muster had finished. By the time we reached our cabin, as we had first sitting for dinner, we had twenty minutes to get changed and attempt to get down again. My Mother found it all very stressful and it wasn't the best start to the cruise. Maybe P & O should board those in wheelchairs earlier ? Or have dedicated lifts for wheelchair users?
Azura was as beautiful as I remembered, We had a balcony cabin on Rivera deck (14) right at the front so we could wave at the captain on the bridge :) Lovely cabin and very quiet, and with good access to the adults only pool on deck 16. We had club dining first sitting in the Oriental, fabulous food and wonderful, attentive, funny waiters. Entertainment was varied and I can't understand anyone who says they get bored on a cruise! Lots to do during the day and plenty of shows in the evenings. Found the Headliners a bit dull and screechy to be honest, but the other acts on board were brilliant, Managed to see 2 different shows every night, Ports of call were good, Did our own thing in Stavanger and Aldenses ,we went on a coach trip in Olden, very informative. I did the RIB ride in Bergen, great fun! Highly recommend it. Once again, service was outstanding overall. The weather was beautiful, and the scenery is to die for, Absolutely loved it and booking Azura again , and yes for the Fjords for next year,
Twin beds. Plenty of room, gorgeous views
