We chose this cruise as it went to St Petersburg. Wish we had done a back to back cruise as it was not long enough in each port.
Having cruised with Princess cruises on a number of occasions we like the service we receive from them, certainly being Elite members gives you more benefits. Regal Princess is a lovely ship - our first time on board the Regal and we're disappointed to find that we could not really do our daily stroll around the deck - it is necessary to walk through the ship at each end to get to the other side.
We are not tour group people and prefer to do our own thing unless there is something specific. Next time we would arrange our own visas in St Petersburg to enable us to do our own thing. However day one we went to the Hermitage museum and the had three hours on our own. Took ourselves into the Church of the Saviour of Spilled Blood, which was amazing and then wandered there is a great cafe worth going to located on a corner 52 Nevsky Avenue. Has been open since 1902. The canal tour was great, however you only get to see the above church from the outside.
The cabin was awesome. Separate lounge and bedroom. Loads of storage space. Large balcony with unobstructed views. A large deep bath and separate shower. Separate toilet. Just loved the space. Our Steward was excellent.
Location whilst opposite the laundry - this did not impact on us at all. Not really close to the lifts.
Love Copenhagen been here before. Too far to walk from the port. There is a local bus though
Walked from the port and then caught a hop on hop off bus which took us to a large number of places. Yes it was a public holiday, but there was still plenty to see. The Viking museum is excellent.
Enjoyed wandering around Warnemunde, lovely small coastal port. Great cafes, lovely friendly people. Easy walk from the ship. Two independent buses were waiting on the walk to the town offering a bus tour to Rostock from 10 - 3 including the cathedral and another church. Great information on history of area. Driven around Rostock, then a couple of hours free time. Thoroughly enjoyed it - cost 29 euro each.
Easy access can be had to catch the train to Rostock or a little further on.
We felt Berlin was too far away, but also had been there before
