We took the Jewel of the Seas repositioning cruise from San Juan which was a 13 day trip 5 of which were cruising. Our plan to meet friends in Rome fell through so we decided to stay on board to cruise the Greek Isles which was a 9 day trip. Worked out great as we did not have to leave the ship or repack. The ship made special arrangements for lunch on the day of embarkation which was thoughtful and well recieved by the over 200 of us that stayed on board for the second cruise. Since there were over 200 consecutive cruise we knew a lot of people for the second cruise.

My wife and I prefer this class of ship for its smaller size and more personal service. Since we are in our 60's and do not travel with children the lack of huge slides, flowriders, etc is not an issue.

We ate breakfest every AM at Chops. Diego and Benedict took extraordinary care of us and brought our OJ and coffee before we even asked for it. Seats by the window were easy to get and the space between tables was roomy. I will note that this location is a perk for suite guests.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FO

Overall great roomy cabin with great view from multiple large windows which take the place of the Balcony in this stateroom. Has 2 separate bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms, and 2 televisions. Looks like it would easily sleep 8. They were out of suites when we booked so there were just 2 of us. Despite being next to the elevators on the 10th floor noise was not a problem and in fact we enjoyed the central location.
