We chose this trip due to being close to Charleston and having been on the Ecstasy in October, 2016. It was also a celebration of our tenth anniversary. When we arrived in Charleston, the line to park cars was non-existent. It went much more smoothly than in October. Upon entering the cruise terminal, there was a line, but it never stopped moving and had a painless check in process.

Upon entering the ship, it was clean and well maintained. Granted the ship was launched in 1991 and being in salt water service, the natural damage to a ship could be seen, but it did not hamper our fun. The new Guy's burgers were fantastic. The employees were always smiling and asking how we were doing. When we meet our cabin steward, he asked if we wanted once or twice a day cleaning, and we chose the two times a day, and tipped a little extra for choosing that option. Our room was always clean.

In the main Dining Room, we had I Made, Jayrus, and Ita. Being our third cruise, each cruise the main dining room service got better, and this time, these three set the bar even higher. The food in the main dining room was great, and we did not have a bad meal there. I Made was very knowledgeable of the Menu and gave us great advise on what to order. The theme had been changed to the American Table, and oh my word, no table cloth. Actually, the tables were in such good shape a table cloth was not needed. (I still do not know how someone complains about the lack of a table cloth.)

Cabin 4C

This is an older ship, so the cabins are smaller. However, based upon the amount if time spent inside your cabin, it is a plave to sleep and shower. Our room was always clean, and very well taken care of. The upper deck on the Ecstasy is in a great location and the stairs can be easily used to go where ever you want to go so you do not have to wait on an elevator.

Port Reviews

Nassau

if I do not go back for several years, I will be okay. If I do go back, will look at goingto a good beach some distance away from port. However, had a good time while there

Charleston

Close by, easy parking, easy embarking and disemarking
