We were traveling with friends who were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. It was their first cruise. I kept having to tell them that "it usually isn't like this." Total chaos getting onto ship. Although I understand it was not the ship's fault that it took over 3 hours standing in the hot warehouse for 3+ hours with 2000+ people with no water or air, someone should have been able to communicate what the problem was. When asked what was going on the answer was "I don't know. I don't work for Royal Caribbean. I work for the Harbor."
We were supposed to have traditional dining and knew we were assigned my time dining. Tried to correct it on the 4th floor during the afternoon of 5/6 (since we ate at chops the night before) and were told to come back at 5:30...only to find about 200 people in line trying to correct their dining also. People were taken by streams by dining people around the people standing in line and when we finally were given a "my time dining table," the table we were told to go to was full of people. Then we were told to stand by a column in the middle of the dining room. We finally sat down to a table a little after 7:00 p.m. We asked the head waiter to assign us to that table for the remaining of the cruise (with the exception of our specialty dining reservations). We were assured it was corrected but was told to double check..sure enough it wasn't done. We kept getting it double checked for 3 times...didn't receive a card of our table assignment until 5/13!! No one seems sorry that we were given the runaround. We were finally diamond members and were looking forward to our perks, but this was the worst experience we had ever had. I must say our servers were excellent at our table and this is NO reflection upon them. They were great!!
Needs some sprucing up. Mildew in the caulking of the bathroom. Threshold to balcony needs to be scrubbed and painted. Balcony needs to be painted. Our cabin steward was a friendly, helpful guy.
