Serious problems on this cruise. Missed Azores due to weather. Brest, France. I was able to get off and go on an excursion. When I returned to the ship they had only a single gangway up to deck 7. I waited 45 minutes to get on the ship. I was lucky as later on the line grew to two hours. I learned others had waited two hours in line and never made it off the ship. As the gangway was steep older people had to be pushed and pulled to get back on the ship.Crew did not check on the welfare of the frail and elderly forced to stand for two hours. That night they announced that they were having engine problems and we would be 4 hours late in arriving at Southampton and the Zebrugges would be cancelled. Immigration inspections began at about 1 pm and the last persons were scheduled for 4:45 pm. As we had a ship tour we sat for an hour and then sent into a line that took one and a half hours. No provision was made for those who were frail and elderly and some around me were really hurting. We were inspected about 3:30 and found out that our tour to Bath was cancelled as everything would be closed before we could get there. We gave up and stayed on the boat. We were told no one would be granted permission to have an early inspection but that was false, they snuck people through the galley playing favorites. Although the ship is very attractive I had an issue with my room. The sewage pipes sloshed all through the night and a symphony of 100 plus flushing sounds. When I inquired I was told that this is normal on the ship.
Very attractive room with ample storage, however, the sewage line sloshed day and night. When I complained it was explained that this is normal on the larger ships.
Nice tour of countryside, visit to reenactment village and tour of Amsterdam
