I am going to quick and to the point with this review! We had fun! lot's of fun! Easy check in and on board in 20 minutes from curb. Eating burgers and buffet within 30 minutes and in our cabins by 1:30 pm. All luggage delivered by 3 pm. Safety briefing was quick and next thing you know we on on or way to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan! Our cabin steward was friendly and accessible. He introduced himself and his team and left his card with his direct number. We had fresh ice in our bucket every day without fail. The cabin was made very morning to perfection with different towel art on the bed or hanging around, daily! Our group of 10 had 5 cabins on the aft end of the ship on deck 8 (Veranda). We had 4 cabins that were extended aft balcony (8457, 8459, 8461 and 8454) and 1 wrap around balcony cabin (8455). Everyone enjoyed the great views from these cabins. We enjoyed the variety of food and beverage options available to us. In particular I enjoyed hanging out in the Atrium Lounge area at 3 mid. There was a great cover band that played most days as well as a single entertainer, Viviana, who was quite interesting and unique in her song styles. We enjoyed the comedy club on a couple occasions and even spent an evening at the Piano Bar with Bob singing along to many favorites! This particular cruise there were not as many children as we had anticipated which was an unexpected treat. We also caught the 80's Show and Soul Show in the Victoriana Theater and were surprised by the myriad of stage enhancing props and screens that made the shows pop. We even watched the Hasbro show and I was chosen to captain a team of 5 trying to do a Simon colored light square matching game. Loads of Fun! Our port calls were all self arranged for the most part. In Cozumel we did a day pass at the Iberostar hotel for $60 per person that included food, drinks, pool and snorkeling fun. At our stop in Belize my wife, sister-in-law and I took a quick plane ride to San Pedro on Ambergrise Caye and went on a wonderful snorkeling trip to beautiful coral gardens, Shark and Ray Alley and as a bonus we were able to find and swim several manatees. The rest of the group went to Starfish Cay arranged by Carnival where they had a great time. In Roatan we took the group to Little French Key for a nice relaxing and beautiful time in pretty blue water. Sea days we had brunch in the main dining room and enjoyed the various activities going on throughout the ship! I have to give a shout out to our Cruise Director, Malcom "Woohoo" Burns and his team for helping everyone have a FUN time on this cruise!

Cabin Review

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

This Premium Vista Balcony cabin had a very large balcony facing slightly aft and mostly to the starboard aft direction with another jaunt to starboard. This was the defining feature of the cabin. Great 270 degree views. It was put to use when the ship happened upon an overturned 30-40 foot boat and we slowed and circled for survivors (none were found). The room seemed larger than a standard cabin however the square footage was the same. We did not have a sofa in the room. Plenty of storage however for 2 people. There are 3 windows plus the exterior door. Great view from room as well as the bed faces the windows. The only negative was the vibration of the thrusters during docking but that was only for a few minutes. The room stayed cool throughout the trip. If you don't want to spend the extra $$ for this cabin, try cabin 8457 as it has a slightly wider deck than the rest of the aft facing cabins.

Galveston

Easy on and almost easy off (a bit slow going through customs).
