We read the reviews on this website re: this ship, just before our cruise started, with some concern, so much so that we had very low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had nothing to worry about. We really enjoyed the cruise, and we had no complaints. I think people who complained about the ships need to consider how much they paid for their cruise, and whether it was value for money, particularly when comparing against other cruises. We paid £1,500 each for 2 weeks in an inside plus cabin (which is a little bit more spacious than a standard cabin, and has a small fridge). This included return flights to/from Palma from the UK, airports transfers, the two weeks cruise, with an all inclusive drinks package thrown in, and also included tips.

The staff working on this ship could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was good and varied, and the restaurants and buffet areas were clean and well-managed. The cabins were clean, and serviced twice a day by the housekeeping staff. Our fridge was old and didn't have any shelves, but it was ok to keep bottles of water and cans of coke cool. The all inclusive drinks package included branded items, such as John Smiths Beer, Guinness, Gordons gin, Bacardi, Smirnoff vodca, various other brands and some cocktails, though for some brands such as Jack Daniels there was a small supplement. Bottled water was not free, though ice cold water was available free of charge from containers in the buffet restaurants.

Re: the entertainment, there were some really good shows from the Thomson Entertainment team, and some good comedians, and various other activities. Read more
