I chose this cruise because we had gone on it last October and loved it. We had the kids last time (8,10,12) and they were a little bored around the pool. It is more of an adult pool. However we booked the Owners suite and it was even better than the Penthouse, mostly because it had a hot tub!!! Otherwise if its 2 of you I would go for the penthouse and save a few bucks. We were told the itinerary changed in December of last year and were thrilled we were now going to CUBA! Cuba was awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walked around all day, bar hopped, great people ,great music, fun time! Dont book a tour, its expensive and you can walk all by yourself for free........The food on NCL Sky was awesome as well. we are not food snobs, except when it comes to my steak. Cagney's was superb!! The palace dining room was good, no complaints. But if you can afford a few extra bucks, go to Cagney's, it was sooooo goood.
Entertainment was pretty good.........I have had better on Carnivals Freedom ship. Not much action around the pool during the day, we dont like to lay in the sun all day, we like music and entertainment by the pool, you know, people watch. Nightly entertainment was great. Comics were fantastic, really funny. Deal or Deal, meh. Rock you show was pretty good. At night we mostly joined the pool parties or hung in the casino. Our Butler Roy was excellent, left us little treats in the room every day. Would have been nice if he left some beer in our fridge like our butler did the cruise before. Anyway , having sailed it twice, I would do it again.
Cabin Review
Owner's Suite with Large Balcony
What can I say, ,we had the biggest and best cabin on the boat. Right at the front, 1500 or so sq feet. Get this one on the 8th deck rather than the 9th as the patio is way bigger and so is the hot tub!!! Had champagne, wine, 3 bottles of booze, ice cooler, more tv channels than most.........yeah it was awesome!

We paid $30 and the 4 of us got a horse drawn carriage and awesome tour guide around the city. Total time was over 2 hours as Louis our guide stopped at all the good bars for drinks and pictures etc.... he was awesome. We tipped him $60 , he liked that lol. Well worth $90 for a days fun! 2nd day in cuba we walked around, got lost, so fun getting lost. Then when our feet hurt and we were tipsy we got in some bicycle rickshaws and they drove us back to port.
Great Stirrup Cay
I am only giving this 4 stars this time, last cruise I gave it a 5....... ok so the first sky cruise we took here we rented a cabana. Small or big cant remember, think it was the small one. It was quiet and nice and you could sit and relax in the shade, water was more calm, waaaaaaay less people. Only bad thing was it is kind of far for some poeple (and by far I am talking about lazy people who sweat after 5 min walk) to the buffet and the main bar. Also if you dont bring your own speaker, you wont have music. This cruise we didnt get the cabana and just hung at the main barcardi bar where the music was. Or on the beach. So this time is was suuuuuuuuper hot and sweaty, no shade, barely any seats on the patio at the barcardi bar, maybe 16 chairs total, the seaguls are brutal and ruthless . We were dying of heat and sun in the first hour there. So I would opt for the cabana absolutely!!!
