We chose this cruise as 9 day trip from Sydney to New Caledonia and Vanuatu - to experience for ourselves the cruising experience.

Carnival Spirit seemed to suit but we had no real experience with any cruise ship so went largely from reviews like this. It seems all ships have good and bad reviews but Spirit seemed to meet most of our requirements.

Our overall experience was very positive, and we have recommended the ship to our children who have families of their own.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8F

The cabin was nice and we enjoyed our time in it.

Next time we will go one deck lower because deck 8 is directly below the Lido Deck which houses the Playa Restaurant and most of the eateries apart from the Empire Dining room (the main dining room) on Decks 2 and 3.

Therefore it can be noisy when kids are running around on the Lido Deck.

Being cruise virgins - we did not realise the significance of the cabin's location. Otherwise the cabins are pretty well insulated and comfortable.
