Where Were All the Staff?
This was our 15th cruise with Celebrity so we are very familiar with the product and, for the most part, we have been happy with it. I had read some reviews indicating that Constellation is past its best and in need of attention in some areas but I have to disagree. We felt that the ship was very well presented and saw little evidence of it requiring anything other than minor attention. Public areas, soft furnishings etc were fine. Some pool towels were a little thin and there were some rust marks in the paintwork here and there and evidence of a few “running repairs” in some places but, overall, it was just as good if not better than our last cruise on Equinox. We did feel that it was not quite as “airy” as the newer Solstice class of ships and the flow through the ship is not as good as the Solstice class. Also, the decor is somewhat darker (more traditional) than the newer ships but overall it was pleasing on the eye and we were more than satisfied with the ship and wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again if the right opportunity presented itself.
Due to issues with our initially allocated cabin this family cabin was a late substitution. The amount of space (for two) was outstanding. However, the size of the balcony was what made it. Four full size chairs, two recliners, two sun beds and a dining table and still space to have a party.
