Sail Date: Apr 2017

We have cruised with a number of lines including NCL before and took this trip partly due to the good deal, (as it was a repositioning trip for the ship to travel to Europe), and partly as we quite like the transatlantic crossings with more "sea days".

We took a "Mini Suite" which was perfect, larger than a standard balcony and includes a bath rather than the usual shower only option - slight annoyance was the cabin wasn't 6 inches wider as the wardrobe doors opened against the side of the bed with no clearance, so you had to open one door stand beside it and then open the other door to stand in front of your racked clothing.....however fairly minor in the scheme of things.

The embarkation in Tampa was fairly straightforward and much the same as any other I have experienced. Although I had not travelled on the Jade before - I had seen photographs of her prior to the recent makeover..and would say she now looks much more contemporary, fresh, and very clean....

Port Reviews

Key West

Beautiful and relaxed - would go again

Miami

The Art Deco region is a must see.

Ponta Delgada

Worth a wander off the ship - although a lot of people who took excursions said the island was beautiful

Cobh (Cork)

Cobh is a quaint little place - we did not take the trip to Cork.

Falmouth

Very nice town to wander around - although the tender trip was interesting to say the least due to the weather
