My friend and I were looking for a cruise to see how she would like cruising when I found the cruise to Cuba. Cuba is one of those places that I have always wanted to go so when I saw it I jumped on board! This was only my second cruise and my first on NCL. Overall it was a great cruise and I really enjoyed myself.

This was my second cruise. My first cruise was on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. It is a bigger ship so I am trying to take that into account in my review of the ship, cabin, and dining. On this trip to Havana we chose an inside cabin (deck 10 room 0148). It is a small room, but that is to be expected especially for a inside room. Overall the room has been kept up fairly well. We did have one annoying rattle in the ceiling when ever the ship was in motion (nothing a piece of folded up paper didn't take care of). The bed was ok, but not really comfortable. It was very worn and sagged in the middle of the bed. Also the bathroom was small (again expected), but my real problem was that under the sink had no storage like on Liberty of the Sea's. I really missed that little added bit of storage.

One place that I thought NCL really excelled at was with their bar staff and waiters around the pool. They were very attentive and came by at least every 15 minutes and asked if you needed anything. This was a big change from what I was on Liberty of the Sea's. The drinks were very good (I got the mocktail version of all the classics) and they were a great way to enjoy the pool.

The cabin is starting to show some wear. The ceiling had a serious rattle when ever the ship was in motion. I ended up fixing this with a piece of paper wedged between the ceiling panel and the bracket.

The mattress was very saggy and in need of an upgrade. I don't expect luxury on this type of room and cruise, but the mattress was hard as a rock and not in good shape. The pillows were great along with the sheets and duvet.

The bathroom is small like you would expect and the shower has a curtain. If you need to shave your legs in the shower good luck with that! One thing that I missed was that under the sink is closed in. That would be a great place for a little more storage, which you will probably need on this ship.

Storage is a premium. Especially drawers. You have three small drawers in the closet that won't fit very much. We had a lot of hangars so that helps a lot and with two women we had plenty of closet space for the four day's worth of clothing. The night stands also provided us with two shelves that we were able to keep some items handy to the bed.

The only outlet that was available in the room was at the desk so you will want to bring a power strip to give you a little more if you need multiple outlets.
