This was our 12th cruise overall and the 2nd on RC and the first cruise traveling with friends.
We have always enjoyed the Dutch Antilles islands for their diversity and "European" feel. The people are so friendly and diverse. Everyone you meet can speak 3-7 languages.
On every island the taxi system is highly regulated, the prices are posted and adhered to for the most part so you know what you will be paying before you get in the car/van. We only got in one that was a little "worn out". It is refreshing to not feel like you are held hostage by a cabbie.
Cabin was as expected, the hallway to the cabin always smelled musty.
Very tight seating on an open air bus-I could not sit straight on, basically a drive to the Seaquarium (MAMBO beach) with a talking bi-lingual driver with a 15 minute stop at the Curacao distillery.
Did our own thing at this port, cabs to Orient beach, Maho beach and Philipsburg shopping-all of which were a little rushed since we had to be back on the ship by 4:30.
