I always cruise RCI or Celebrity. My husband and I enjoy the perks when you get to diamond level and above. This was our first time in a central park balcony. We usually stay in an ocean front balcony room. We were on the 14th floor. We enjoyed our stay very much. Because we booked a central park room we received a complimentary bottle of Merlot wine and a complimentary lunch at Giovani's restaurant. We loved the violin music in the evenings as we sat on the balcony. We did miss seeing the ocean from the room but it was a very nice experience. Since we had been on Oasis this past January, we decided not to repeat seeing some of the shows.

We also decided not to eat in the main dining room. We ate breakfast in the Solarium Bistro for breakfast every day and some dinners there as well. The food is excellent. We also ate lunch at Park Cafe. Our dinners were eaten at Chops Grill, Izumi, Sabor and one night in the foodjammer (our name for the Windjammer). Everything was delicious. The only dissapointment we had was at Sabor because they had run out of fresh avocados. The food and service was excellent.

We did one shore excursion at St. Thomas. We had done it before and loved it so much we booked it again. We did the schooner boat (pirate ship) tour to snorkel to see turtles and then to a private beach for a barbecue and swim.

Very nice experience. Loved the violin music at night from Central Park. We liked the complimentary bottle of red wine and lunch at Giovani's.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We took a taxi to Mullet Bay beach. It is beautiful there but unfortunately we had an overcast and rainy day. We rented 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for $15.
