Sail Date: Apr 2017
Cabin: Balcony

We chose this cruse because Carnival's cruise around Hawaii was a better deal than the boats that are stationed in Hawaii and do 7 day cruises. This was 11 days which included 6 days in Hawaii and 5 days at sea and a better price.

We had opted to purchase tickets to Pearl Harbor thinking we would get on board on time, drop our luggage and then take a cab back to Pearl Harbor by 2:00pm. Because we were so late getting on board we paid for our tickets and didn't get to go. Tried to get tickets the next day and they were sold out. Very disappointing. Also there were so many platinum members on this cruise it was quicker to go through the regular line.

This cruise did have quite a send off party when we left Hawaii. I have been on many cruises and NEVER had a cruise give away so much free alcohol. Not sure if they were trying to make up for the first day?

Cabin Review

Cabin 8D

The cabin is getting a little worn as the boat is getting older. There is rust around the door, but the bath was clean which was important. It would have been nice if they had cleaned out the hair from the drawer from the person that was using room prior.

Port Reviews

We rented a car and drove and saw waterfalls. We also went to a beach and went snorkeling. Saw a lot of fish and the beach was very nice.

Rented a car and drove to Hana. What a beautiful drive. Also the beaches were just beautiful. It was a very windy day.

We drove to Diamond Head and hiked to the top. This is a beautiful walk, but you should be in good shape to try it.

Went to the Dole Factory. Not a big deal and everything there at their store was way overpriced.

Rented a car and drove to Volcano national park. We could have stayed there a lot longer and hiked to the sea where the lava hits the ocean.
