We chose this cruse because Carnival's cruise around Hawaii was a better deal than the boats that are stationed in Hawaii and do 7 day cruises. This was 11 days which included 6 days in Hawaii and 5 days at sea and a better price. We had opted to purchase tickets to Pearl Harbor thinking we would get on board on time, drop our luggage and then take a cab back to Pearl Harbor by 2:00pm. Because we were so late getting on board we paid for our tickets and didn't get to go. Tried to get tickets the next day and they were sold out. Very disappointing. Also there were so many platinum members on this cruise it was quicker to go through the regular line. This cruise did have quite a send off party when we left Hawaii. I have been on many cruises and NEVER had a cruise give away so much free alcohol. Not sure if they were trying to make up for the first day? One of our friends wasn't thinking about put his bottle of wine that he was allowed to carry on in his suitcase. It was confiscated and he was told he would get back the last day. It was a $20.00 bottle of wine and when he waited in line to retrieve it they couldn't find it and told him, sorry it must have been thrown away. YEA RIGHT! I would have liked to have longer at the islands. The only one that we spent a lot of time on was OAHU. This is a way to busy and the other islands are way nicer. We did stay late in Maui, but we would have loved to stay longer in Kauai, Hilo and Kona. The beach when we tendered to in Kona was absolutely beautiful. All in all, I would do it again for the price. We had an balcony as I we enjoy them, however we hardly spent anytime on it this cruise. After the first day at sea it gets cold Do it cheap-opt for an inside cabin.

Embarking was a nightmare

Cabin Review

Cabin 8D 7341
The cabin is getting a little worn as the boat is getting older. There is rust around the door, but the bath was clean which was important. It would have been nice if they had cleaned out the hair from the drawer from the person that was using room prior.
