We have always been Celebrity fans and always book Aqua class for Blu restaurant. What a disappointment! Blu has cut service drastically. There simply are not enough servers for the clientelle. I believe there were only 2 sommeliers for the entire restaurant. Ours was great, but really kept running. Food was still plentiful, but the quality really declined. It was often overdone and just not tasty. On several occasions, we even got the wrong food served to us. We ended up eating half of our meals in the specialty restaurants. Since you already pay extra for Blu through your cabin class, this was quite disappointing and expensive. Our cabin was the same, but our toiletries were never replaced. I kept asking and they would give some. But, they always gave the same thing -- you would have 3 shower gels, but asked for conditioner and didn't get that. They say no kettles in your stateroom and to order room service. So, room service comes. They are surly, food lukewarm, coffee undrinkable. So, what are you supposed to do?

With our Captain's Club class, we get a certain amount of laundry and dry cleaning. They will not take laundry within 3 days of the end of the cruise -- no actual date specified. So, I counted but our laundry was not taken. I called and was told that the last day of the cruise counted as the disembarkation day and not an actual day. So, I missed the laundry cutoff by a day. Since we had 2 more weeks of travel, this was a problem. I washed in the sink and air dried as best as possible. Dry cleaning was not to be taken within the last 2 days of the cruise. However, they did not take that either even though it was within the time limit. I just gave up.

The specialty restaurants were still outstanding and their service was great. They had more than enough servers -- like Blu used to have. We ate in the main dining room for lunch. Again, not enough servers for the clientelle. Celebrity pushes their drinks packages. But, try to get a drink in the main dining room -- you will be eating dessert before the sommelier shows up and that is even when your server has already gone in search of one. The drinks packages cost almost a thousand for the cruise and you are limited to one large bottle of water a day. Since the tap water in the staterooms is always warm, this is a real issue. In all, we have been loyal Celebrity cruisers and will now be in search of a new cruise line.

Brugge (Bruges)

You dock in Zeebrugge and need to take the bus into a town. Round trips were 20 euros each and the trip was 30 minutes about. Town was very nice but very crowded.
