We chose this cruise because all three port visits were in destinations we had never visited before. But our primary destination was Allure of the Seas herself. We've been dreaming of a cruise on an Oasis class ship since the launch of Oasis. We were not disappointed. Embarkation at the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal in Port Everglades was among the fastest we've experienced. The ship itself is awesome, and not just because it is the biggest ship we've ever sailed on. The unique Central Park and Boardwalk "neighborhoods" were stunning and attractive and offered many enjoyable dining, drinking and entertainment opportunities. The entertainment was over the top: an outstanding performance of "Mama Mia!," the Ocean Aria aqua show is breathtaking, the Headliner show was a very good Eagles tribute group 'Longrun.' The Icegames show in the Studio B ice rink and the 'Blue Planet' production were also very good. Jazz on Four was our go to late night spot. Evgenia and her jazz quartet provided fantastic renditions of songs by Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Nat Cole and the Beatles. We had two opportunities to meet with the Captain and senior officers. It is obvious that their dedication and servant attitude flows down through all members of the staff. Food was good EVERYWHERE we ate: my time dining in the American Icon dining room, the Windjammer cafeteria, and specialty dining venues 150 at Central Park, Chops Grille and Giovanni's. Our waiters were all knowledgeable, friendly and exquisite. Our cabin attendant made us her friend right away, solved some problems, and provided impeccable service. We had outstanding guides for both Bamboo Beach Club in Jamaica and for Chichen Itza. We definitely want to take another cruise on Allure of the Seas.
Our cabin was comfortable, clean and attractive.
Clean. A variety of beach, water sport and shopping opportunities. I would rather go to an actual port of call, not a private facility.
The Chichen Itza site is incredible. Great guides - Luis on the bus; Armando at the ruins.
