My family went on the Regal princess over Thanksgiving. We were shocked at the drop in service and overall quality of Princess. The food in the dining room and buffet area was bland and tasteless. I have had better food at a hospital cafeteria. The service was pitiful. The main waiter had no assistant most nights so glasses sat empty.

Our first port was canceled due to wind in Jamaica. Our excursion was cancelled after the tour desk closed (8 pm) for Grand cayman. The nightly entertainment was clearly geared for an older crowd with several nights consumed by shows of standards singers. The two production shows seemed highly dated. Both feature songs from the 1990's or earlier. In lieu of professional entertainers, the crew even put on a show one night. It was pitiful.

We contacted the cruise line upon our return about all the problems. They offered us a bottle of wine on our next cruise. I am not sure if I am more upset by the quality of the curse or the attitude of the cruise line. I can't say we will ever cruise Princess again to the them up on the 2 buck chuck.

Cabin Review

Balcony

It was a standard balcony cabin. Nothing special. We had non-stop issues with the plumbing and the toilet not flushing.
