We took the repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam because on our honeymoon ( over fifty years ago) we visited Amsterdam, Paris, and Brussels. All three of those countries were visited on this cruise with Lisbon added on as the first place we stopped after crossing the Atlantic.

Although we have cruised on Silhouette before we had never crossed the Atlantic on it.

I had not realized that in April and again in November when the ships reposition the weather is so iffy. It is really not swim or pool weather at all.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

I especially like the bathrooms on Celebrity's Solstice class. The showers are glass enclosed and there is plenty of storage space in the bathroom. It is very well lit.

There could be a little more storage space in the room itself but we did manage.

The room is bright and spacious and we enjoyed the balcony though if there had been better weather we would have enjoyed it more.

Port Reviews

Brugge (Bruges)

Our experience here was terrible. We wanted to walk around Zeebruges itself rather than going to the city. We have been to the city and we were very interested in the sea park as well as a Russian submarine at the port.

THERE WAS NOONE TO TELL US HOW TO GET THERE.

Le Havre

We know this area well and we went to Honfleur for the day and had a fantastic day. ( The ship had an excursion to Honfleur which we would highly recommend

Lisbon

We hired a private guide and absolutely loved our tour and driver
