We took the repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam because on our honeymoon ( over fifty years ago) we visited Amsterdam, Paris, and Brussels. All three of those countries were visited on this cruise with Lisbon added on as the first place we stopped after crossing the Atlantic. Although we have cruised on Silhouette before we had never crossed the Atlantic on it. I had not realized that in April and again in November when the ships reposition the weather is so iffy. It is really not swim or pool weather at all. ( I also had no thought about that, when going to Europe, you lose an hour on five separate mornings.). Next time we are going to reposition the other direction Therefore we would have loved more activities on the ship. A fellow passenger who is a bridge director voluntarily started a daily bridge game ( it drew about 75 people). That was great and there were two good lecturers; one on Dutch paintings ( a fantastic speaker) and another who also lectured on the Netherlands. In the past we have mainly cruised on Cunard where there is usually a classical concert in the afternoon as well as a daily afternoon tea. On Cunard however the shows at night are not nearly as good as on Celebrity Generally the ship itself is beautiful and the food was much better than we expected. Furthermore, I have food allergies and between the maitre d' for our section and the absolutely fantastic hostess in the anytime dining I could not have had better service. In addition our cabin, 9304, was fine and we had the best cabin steward that we have ever had. Many in the past seem bothered if they can't get into the cabin before ten or 11 to clean it. Our cabin stewardess on this cruise, Nicole, was always pleasant and never bothered by anything

A really good cruise mainly because of how great the staff was

Cabin Review

Concierge Class
Cabin C2 9304
I especially like the bathrooms on Celebrity's Solstice class. The showers are glass enclosed and there is plenty of storage space in the bathroom. It is very well lit.
There could be a little more storage space in the room itself but we did manage.
The room is bright and spacious and we enjoyed the balcony though if there had been better weather we would have enjoyed it more.
