Selected this cruise for the Panama Canal transit itinerary. All our excursions except one were with private tour operators and met our expectations. We had fantastic wait staff in the Bordeaux Dining Room -- Franco(from Mexico) and Jervis(from India). We selected Anytime Dining but unless we made reservations early everyday we would end up eating very late. We also requested to be seated at tables 37/38/39 which were Franco and Jervis' area. We struggled with the dining menu selections sometimes(we are not picky eaters) and would end up going to the Horizon Buffet. The beef choices usually arrived a little underdone for our liking, tough and hard to cut with a knife. Just a piece of advice, if asking for medium it comes more medium rare to rare. For those of you who like peanut butter the ship does not display it at the morning buffet in the Horizon Cafe. Just ask for it when you pick up your toast, waffles, muffins or pastries. We have cruised with Princess since 2005 and have noticed a reduction in the numbers of staff required to make the ship work efficiently and the menu selections are not the star quality they used to be. We also continue to be amazed at how hard the staff work day in and day out. It is certainly very much appreciated by us and we never forget to thank each and every one who have made a difference in our cruise with an additional monetary gift.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BB A501
Showing wear. Sliding door did not close easily. Stateroom attendant did a great job but the room really needs a good thorough cleaning. The balcony railing was really pealing and the glass on both the door and balcony needed cleaning inside and out. Our stateroom was located under the pool deck and every morning about 5 am we could hear people walking, the scrapping of chairs, ladders, and whatever seems to be moved around. Recommend not booking any stateroom on the Aloha Deck.
