Arrival: We arrived at the pier about 10:30 a.m. and hailed a porter right away. I thought we would be too early; however; it really was just fine. My Mom wasn't in a wheelchair at that time. I told a women from the ship that she needed one and they brought her one right away. They then took us to a special waiting area. We received help very quickly and were helped on board by 11:00 a.m. Once on board the wheel chair that I had ordered in our room. I used an online company and it was very easy and smooth. If you use the ships wheelchairs they are not always available when you need one.

Stay: Our cabin steward was very helpful and quite. He didn't talk a lot but was there if we needed him. I couldn't find my reading glasses and he looked in the old lost and found and brought me several pairs to try. They worked great and I was so happy to be able to read my book. The halls were just large enough for the wheelchair. The staff was very helpful and would push my Mom when we got to the dining room or shows. It was sometimes hard to get an elevator and people would crowd in front of us to get on. I learned to just push ahead and try not to hit anyone. This scared my Mom a bit, but if I didn't do this we would be standing there for hours! We loved the dining staff and found most of the food to be great. Johnny Rocks was fun, eat inside for more entertainment. The portions at dinner are just right, I liked ordering the cold soups and then one more starter. The menu repeats every week, so if you read about a great dish on here, you will get to try it on your trip. We loved the lamp and the lobster. Which is called the Fisherman's Plate and could be missed if you don't read your whole menu. Lobster is served on Friday night, the second formal night. It really seemed to be a mixed of clothing on formal nights. Some people didn't dress up at all and a few in very formal wear. I would say on the whole the style is much more casual than formal. The coupon book you can buy at the shopping show is only worth it if you drink the drink of the day. They offer a buy one drink of the day and get one free for the cruise. The coupon book is $25.00 and the drinks are about 9.00. It doesn't matter if you order the special take home glass or not. Same price and how many glasses do you want to take home? When it's time to get off the ship if there is a wheelchair involved head to deck 4. Someone from the ships staff will help you off. I tired to get the sweet young man a tip for helping us and he would not take it from me. If you are taking a shuttle ask them to pick you up in front where the cars go. Otherwise, it's a long walk for the wheelchair pusher.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

8390 was our cabin. We had two chairs and two lounge chairs on our deck. This was at the very back of the ship and we loved it. This is a long walk from the elevator but with the steps.
