Michael Jackson review last night! Awesome!

For 20 years my sisters and I enjoyed an annual trip with our Mom....the Kat and Kittens' Trips. Mom passed away last December. She wanted to assure we Kittens would continue to have fun together. We decided a cruise would be a relaxing, fun way to honor our Mom's wishes.. I recommended Divina to my sisters because of the value, the reviews and the International flavor of the ship and passengers. It was a wonderful experience!! We paid for Balcony Guaranteed rooms rather than specific rooms. We were absolutely delighted to be assigned two adjacent balcony rooms with a connecting .door. It was like having our own two bedroom suite! Dvina is STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL and sparkling CLEAN! The rooms were comfortable and had adequate hanging and storage space for Divas who do not pack lightly!. Our empty suit cases easily fit under the bed. We adored our housekeeper, Kardek, and our server, Renaldo, in the Main Dining Room, The Black Crab,.

About the food...I prefer table dining over buffets but the food at either was good and there were lots and lots of choices at the buffet....hard to decide what to try!. For some tastes, the food may be under seasoned. I think Divina's philosophy is to allow each person to salt and pepper to their personal taste in the interest of health. There is no reason to be upset at the buffet if something isn't as hot as you like....wait until they put out another of the same dish. The best dinner was at The Galaxy, a specialty restaurant on the 16th deck. A beautiful spot! My sister's Duck Morsels were the best appetizer of the trip; the tender, thick filet mignon was cooked to my exact order; and the chocolate molten lava cake was out of this "Galaxy"! In the main dining room, The Black Crab, I sometimes felt the servers were too hasty to remove plates, to serve the next course. But we had the earlier seating and it was probably me....I prefer a leisurely pace; my sisters didn't seem to feel rushed.

The entertainment venue is gorgeous and the singers, dancers, acrobats are all talented. Every show was enjoyable but some more than others. They could not quite "do" Freddie Mercury of Queen, but the Michael Jackson tribute was amazing....Broadway quality! I also enjoyed the Opera, an afternoon show. To my total delight I sat next to a former opera singer and a former ballerina. Afterwards they happily answered all my questions about the opera. They enhanced my experience immensely. Davina offers many, many activities throughout the day and well into the evening. We enjoyed the dance lessons and name that tune contests. Davina is well organized. Departing and returning to ship for shore excursions was fast and efficient.
