Sail Date: Apr 2017
Cabin: Balcony

We were on the April 23, 2017 departure to Hawaii on the Grand and I have to say I had some misgivings prior to the trip due to some unflattering reviews. But we could not find much wrong with the ship: small areas of rust (it's a SHIP, on the Ocean!), a few minor leaks and buckets, that promptly were corrected by onboard maintenance.

Staff and crew:

As said in the title, this is obviously a well managed and happy ship. The staff is excellent and they enjoy their jobs. With a couple of exceptions, every staff member we came in contact with was friendly, polite and eager to please. Dining staff was especially good.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BE

Standard balcony, some minor chair noise early am from Horizon Court above, GREAT shower which will flail the first two layers of skin off your back and lots of instant hot water. Cabin not recommended for those who suffer from seasickness, as there can be significant motion.
