Took a cruise last week on Liberty of the Seas. We've been on this ship often because of our close proximity to Galveston. We like cruising on Royal Caribbean because the ships are family friendly to any and all ages. This trip was to Roatan, Belize and (always) Cozumel. In Roatan we enjoy going with the Bodden Tour group, not affiliated with the ship. They are a reliable, local group who will provide you a driver to go wherever you wish on the island. They also have a great canopy zip line and petting zoo (monkeys, macaws, a sloth! and other creatures). Wonderful group owned by Victor Bodden, safe, friendly and professional. In Cozumel we enjoy breakfast or lunch at La Choza, a restaurant in town, and then shopping in the port stores. We had a wonderful visit in Belize this time, tendering over with fabulous friends to eat lunch at Bird's Isle - local red beans and rice, plantains, stewed chicken.

On ship we greatly enjoyed the Motown Divas, show. Up in the Air - the production show - is AMAZING, as is the ice spectacular. Our grandkids weren't along this time but they have a great time with the kid's area - they are teens now but have cruised with us since younger and always meet new friends and have fabulous adventures. On Liberty the Casino is too smoky but lots of fun, especially due to the great Casino Hosts Luis and Amal. The R Bar is a must - Melvin, the mixologist, holds a martini class each week that is fantastic...great price, great martinis, recipes to bring home - don't miss it! Grand Suite and above rooms are lovely and provide access to the Suite Lounge. Other rooms are a bit older, not so updated in looks, but still comfortable. Oh - we also always eat at the specialty restaurants Sabor and Giovannis and sometimes the Chops Grille. All are worth the price. The main dining food was good this trip also! Think you'll enjoy a cruise on Liberty.
