For those of you interested in the drink package, here is the list of thing

We chose this cruise during a Pick your Perk promo. My husband and I had been wanting to take a cruise and with the reduced deposit there really wasn't an excuse anymore. I've traveled the Caribbean several times and it was my husband's first cruise. We wanted to pick a destination that neither of us had been, so Bermuda was it! And we weren't disappointed.

We embarked in Bayonne, New Jersey. The port was easy to get to. We stayed in Jersey City the night before to some touristy things in NYC and took the light rail to the 34th St station, which drops you off in front of Cape Liberty. From there, it is about a mile or two from the port. We took an Uber to the port and it cost about 7-8 dollars. Once there, we proceeded with the embarkation process. The boarding process took a bit longer than we had expected but by all means was a smooth process. After being on board it sounded like the Summit had been late getting into Bayonne that morning and that was why boarding was delayed. But we were happily on board and sipping cocktails by noon.

The first two days at sea were nice and easy with calm seas and fantastic weather. Captain Kate updated us each day at 10:00 am with our current position, weather, nautical knowledge, riddles and quotes from Confucious. She was by far, the most charismatic and fun captains I've had on a cruise to date.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 6

Cabin 06

Our cabin was satisfactory. It was obvious if had been refurnished, and it was done well. The only thing that appeared dated was the bathroom, which had an old style shower with curtain and it was quite small. It was effective though so really no complaints.

As for noise, it was very quite for the most part. The exception being that you could hear other doors in the hall way close if they were closed forcefully. We were close to the aft stairwell which made getting to the theater and the revelations lounge very easy. The window was large and had room to store things (or sit in, in my husbands case) so that was a nice perk.

Overall, no complaints for the room. I found we had plenty of storage space for the 2 of us. Would recommend it.
