14 cruises and this was our favorite ship. This was our first Royal Caribbean and they made a great first impression. No, it wasn't perfect but nothing is. Most of the food was very good. The built in hand washing stations as you enter the buffet was a great idea. The ship never felt any more crowded than any other ship. The behind the scenes tour was fantastic. Entertainment was top notch and the staff was always friendly and helpful.
My biggest complaint is the muster drill. I know the chances of having an emergency are pretty slim but let me explain. The life preservers are not in the cabin as on other ships. The muster station was for us the aqua theatre where the staff is supposed to give us instructions in the event of an emergency. I can't imagine how they could hand out thousands of life preservers in an orderly fashion if there were a real emergency. An even bigger concern is that we weren't even made aware of the location of the life preservers. If the staff didn't show at the muster station for whatever reason you are left with thousands of passengers without life preservers. In addition you would have no way of know which life boat to report to. This has disaster written all over it.
Great cruise but I hope they rethink their safety procedures.
I almost forgot to mention that getting on and off of the ship was the fastest that we've ever experienced. I was a little concerned about this considering how many passengers are on the Harmony. Even locating our luggage after the cruise was extremely fast and easy. I give them an A+ in this category.
