I had already prepared myself to be disappointed! But to my surprise I had a great time. Yes the rooms are "worn" but still functional! The rooms on my deck, Main, had already been renovated in the front of the ship from 101 to the very front ( not mine). Some cabins on the Riviera Deck also were renovated. Stairwells to the Upper Deck were closed off and to the Riviera Deck where they were working on the cabins. I had the feeling we were not sailing with a full ship. We had late dining because we booked late. We were assigned a table for 2 even though the maître d' claimed he does not receive emails. We loved our head waiter "Kelbert" and his two assistants. The food on most nights was good and deserts better than Celebrity. Everyone was extremely friendly! The one disappointment I had was when I was sitting above the smoking area near the pool. One guy layed on top of a girl sitting next to him and the guy with him said, " It's okay because he is gay." Then he preceded to lay on top of the guy that was on top of the girl. Very inappropriate since it was 4 pm and kids were still around the pool.

There seem to be plenty of Deck chairs and places to sit for meals. The buffet is limited if you are use to the bigger ships. Same goes for the stores! Of course the weather cooperated and we made it to Half Moon Cay! They are very organized at the Jacksonville Cruise Port. We had a great time however I did not care for all the smokers on the one side of the pool and some of the inappropriate behavior perhaps brought on by over drinking. I do drink and bought the drink package, which I found to be a great deal. No worrying about the possible bill at the end. The coffee and tea at the musical cafes were superior to the dining room or buffet. Would I sail again on this ship! Yes! Especially if it was a good price. We were able to drive from NC and not fly. Sometimes smaller is better when you get more personalized attention. Although I have not posted many reviews, i did sail on the Escape last May in the "Haven" so I do know what top notch service and food you can receive.
