This was our sixth river cruise (fifth European) and our third with Emerald Cruise Lines.

A good balance of 'chill' time, included tours, time to spend on own when 'in port' and exercise. My favourite spot early in the morning is around the indoor affinity pool watching us travelling (usually up) the river - especially in the pool - watching the sunrises. Opportunity for guided cycle or independent bicycle rides too.

Airport transfers were smooth, check in at a quality hotel in Bucharest smooth. A good briefing by Cruise Director on first evening in hotel with all guests at a dedicated dinner. An included tour of Bucharest on the first day with free time to explore yourself and an option of two tours on the second morning then taken for lunch with traditional entertainment before joining the ship in Georgiou. A highlight of the trip for me was a tour to Varna and the opportunity of paddling in the Black Sea.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panorama Balcony Suite

Clean, compact, but well laid out.
