We loved our cruise (7 days Mediterranean from Barcelona). This was our fourth NCL cruise and the first at such a big ship. After reading a lot of reviews we were very curious of the Epic and what our experience would be. Well it was nothing like the bad comments we have read here.
Yes, this ship is big and the lay-out isn’t always practical, but when you pay attention where you walked there was no problem. Watch the colors in the carpet and in the elevators. Blue for starboard and orange for port. It helped us a few times.
The ship never felt too crowded. We always found a place to sit.
The stateroom was fine for us. The strange lay out wasn’t a problem for us as a couple. Only the bed wasn’t long enough for my 6.3feet tall husband. Did he sleep worse because of that? No he didn’t.
There could have been better cleaned, or better maintenance be done, the mirror from the closet was dirty. There was rust at the mirror by the sink and one of the drawers was broken.
And every night we heard the sliding door from the toilet that made noises...
Maybe a little bit too much for one day. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for our guide to get tickets in Pompeii. Pompeii it self was very informative. After Pompeii we visited Sorrento for only one hour. We only saw Positano from the coast road.
Nice tour to see Tuscania and Civita di Bagnoregio. Especially the last one was amazing to visit. This is a great tour if you have been to Rome before and you want to see something of Italy. Very great tourguide (Arianne)
Best tour we had. Great tourguide who was very knowledgeable. We did see a lot. First Nice ( 1 hour free time), followed bij Eze (great mountainvillage; 1 hour to spend) and then Monaco and Monte Carlo. The last two were brief stops to walk a little bit. Both 30 minutes to spend. The French Riviera is beautiful!
