We travelled through the Suez Canal on Celebrity Constellation in April this year and we were very disappointed with the ship and the amenities. The ship is in need of modernisation. Unfortunately, all the marketing hype of '5* Modern Luxury' does not apply to this ship.
As soon as we stepped into the our balcony cabin (7083) we found it small and very cramped. There was nowhere to store our suitcases. The shower curtain in the bathroom felt old and unclean. The air conditioning did not work efficiently, even though the engineers kept telling us that it had been fixed. The toilet paper onboard was wafer thin poor quality too.
We had the Classics Drinks Package. Even though spring water is on the list of drinks on this package, bottled filtered tap water from India was offered. When I brought this to the Chief Barman's attention I was told that this was the only water onboard. After protesting, I was offered bottled filtered water from Abu Dhabi instead!!
