We have been on AMA three times. Each time has been a positive and worthwhile experience. We stayed on the third level with an outdoor seating.
The maître d absolutely made my meals wonderful. Each morning he sat with me to discuss vegetarians for the day, That defines personalized service. Daniel, the chef, took my requests and implemented them into each meal. Wow! They also have a tapas bar during the day for snacks. They were so good.
The serving staff were always engaged. They smiled when you came in and knew your tastes. Vesi and Carmen always greeted us. We cam to know them and their backgrounds by the end of the cruise.
The cleaning staff kept the room immaculate...never too small a request. Thanks Arid.
The cruise manager was exceptional. Each day she managed the tours and was there for any questions or problems that arose. It is quite a job to oversee each tour and the varied requests of the passengers. Kriss exceeded my expectations on a daily basis.
The excursions were varied and uniformly had engaged docents. We did tulip time and visited museums, churches, small intimate towns like Bruges and the Reubens House in Antwerp...even Delft and the Hague. I always enjoy background information and the opportunity to ask specific questions. This was handled exceptionally well.
Ama seems more like a family unit than a crew. That is what I expect and certainly received on this cruise. You could not choose a better line.
Well appointed. Had a shower...modernized great cleaning staff
