We live in Texas and like the convenience of driving down to Galveston and not having to fly. Wanted to hit Key West this time, so this cruise fit the bill. This is about my 9th cruise, so I think my expectations are reasonable.

General: It's a beautiful, large ship with lots of amenities. All areas are well-maintained. Our goal was a relaxing time with family, so we had a pretty good time.

Service: Our cabin steward was one of the best we've ever had. So nice. took excellent care of us. Our main waiter was good, quite acceptable - although not as diligent as some we've had in the past. Generally speaking, staff were very helpful. We had a small medical matter to deal with while in Key West, and Guest Services helped ensure we got off the ship with the first group, bypassing the lines.

Cabin 4F

It was fine. Budget cabin, interior. Bathroom was nice size. Plenty of storage. As mentioned above, only bad thing was the table-side lamps. Horrible, short. Lamps don't provide enough light to read in bed. Could really hear the engines from this room, but I didn't mind. It was consistent, so basically like white noise - not something disruptive. (My cabin mate reported some loud, crazy sounds when we pulled out of port. But that was only a few minutes and I wasn't present.)
