Group of friends and relatives. we had a blast on the ship! The service was excellent, the drinks were good. We decided not to do the Cheers program due to being cut off at 15 drinks in 24 hrs (others cancelled theirs). We checked with every contact on board and they all said yes 15 max. then your card would be cut off. I'm sure there could be a way to get around it. (someone buy you drinks etc.) but we didn't want the hassle. Getting on the boat was fairly easy. Long line of cars but took about 45 from time we got to Mobile until on ship. We all met at the starboard pool bar (as usual). Carnival has stopped the smoking on the starboard side pool bar, the only place you can smoke now is starboard deck 10 or in the casino or at 1/2 of the casino bar, nearest casino. (I think you can smoke in the Electricity Dance Club at night but we didn't go there). I don't smoke but my wife and several friends do, this new policy needs to change. The top deck was so windy that everyone piled up at the casino bar to smoke. The smoke was terrible and the smell the next morning at the casino area on deck 9 was awful (even my wife and other smokers agreed). It would be so much better to let people smoke at one side of the pool area where it would be outside.

The food and service in the Dinning room was very good. I had read reviews stating otherwise but we enjoyed ours. The buffet food was not so good, maybe that's what made the dining room food better. The Guy's Burger were awesome! One of the daily themes on the buffet was French Cuisine. We tried it and both got a bad case of indigestion and my wife got sick.

We didn't do anything in Cozumel (got up late). Just a little shopping and back on the ship. Our friends did Carlos and Charlie's and tour of the island they had a good time. Live music was pretty good, with the Live band at the casino bar fantastic! The karaoke was good, most cruises I've been on in the past, Karaoke was limited, but they started at 8:00 pm and went until. It was in the Cat's Lounge right next to the casino bandstand so they had to close the door to keep down interference from the band and crowd. Room was clean and our Steward Molly was great! There was a noise,sounded like water pipes hammering and occasionally pipes rattling that was annoying. Read more
