Itinerary was great, would have been better to have an extended duration in Rome - so much to see, not enough time. The main dining food was ok, specialty restaurants have better quality of food - not sure who the executive chef is, but the food quality wasn't high. Embarkation/disembarkation were very smooth considering the number of people trying to get on/off the cruise. Shore excursions (through NCL) are rather expensive. The cabin was nicely sized, but the bed was very short (our feet hung over the edge). There are issues with the water temperature controls throughout the ship (multiple cabins and all had scalding water that could not be moderated. Cabin steward was excellent - always willing to get anything and always made sure we were comfortable. Staff services were generally very good as were the shipboard activities. The ship is huge and we would go again, but probably on a smaller ship.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Used the hop on/off bus to get around. Very convenient and flexible for seeing the sights

Naples

We did not use the ship excursions as their cost was very high. We did schedule and use private tours via Viator.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

So much to see and never enough time. We didn't use the shipboard excursions (way expensive) and instead used a private tour/guide via Viator.

Florence (Livorno)

We didn't use the shipboard excursions (way expensive) and instead used a private tour/guide via Viator.

Cannes

We didn't use the shipboard excursions (way expensive) and instead used a private tour/guide via Viator. Truly enjoyed Frank (driver & guide) from Viator - highly recommend him.
