The ship is older and actually just looks "tired". After having experienced S Class Celebrity ships, we don't like the buffet area very much. We have been told the BLU restaurant is changing the menu which is wonderful news. This trip was very expensive for the value received. Enrichment series of talks was very good. Service on the ship was outstanding. The food in the buffet area rarely changed. We ate a lot at the Aqua Spa Café and the salmon and tuna were outstanding. The Persian Garden on this ship is just not nice at all especially compared to the S Class ships. We never even went there during the cruise. Constellation Lounge is a very pleasant venue in which to have a drink. Captain's Club representative, Kirsty, made the trip enjoyable at all of the functions. We didn't really care for the entertainment other than the magic show and the comedy shows.
Cabin 9038 is the best cabin in Aqua Class because of the larger balcony. The comparable cabin on portside would be just as nice. Lounge chairs on the balcony are not as nice as the chairs on Celebrity S Ships since the balcony built a little too small. Just not as comfortable as on S Class ships. We probably won't book on this class of ship again.
Enjoyed San Diego for three nights on our own.
Just walked around on our own.
Went to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club and bought cold meds.
Did the coffee plantation tour which was 4.5 hours. Nice tour, not too long and reasonable price.
Just walked around the vendors on shore.
