  3. Carnival Splendor
We booked this cruise because it had 4 ports. We are not big for "fun days at sea" (we lose to much at the Casino) The Good. Staff. Friendliest staff ever in 17 years. Freddy, from Indonesia, our main waiter was fantastic. Always a smile and laughing. Sudi, Cabin boy was equally impressive. Dj, Mark Q, and scattered bands throuhgout were great. late night food was good. BBQ resturant, especially the pulled pork sandwich was to die for. The bad. Main preformers. We went on the Splendor three years ago. Same ugly costumes and same routine. Went to the first preformance and it was the same one "80's classic" Really? You can not come up with a new routine every year? By the way, if Pat Benatar heard you trying to mimic her, you would be sued. Very bad vocals. Meals have been going downhill for the last 17 years. Prime rib had a lot of fat and was hard to cut. Lobster had no taste. Used to have French oinio soup nightly, now one time. Chocolates on the bed. Gone. Tablecloths every night. Gone. Key Lime pie. Not. The Splendor is in much need of a reno. Our balcony had two chairs and was very cramped. Again, the ship was very clean, but in very much need of an overhaul. In conclusion, we had a great time. Hate to be critical, just being truthful. For the price, you get what you pay for. We enjoy Carnival, but think next April we will spend the extra bucks and opt for a different cruise line.

Beautiful Island. Captain Kevin was super. Very informative. His crew, however should be more interactive. They stayed up front, out of the way and did not talk to anybody. Stingrays preformed as they should. Very nice excursion. Highly recommend
