We usually travel independently but because of the reviews and our desire travel in Germany we selected this trip. The ship is amazing. The crew is even more amazing. I will mention the cruise director, JP - who was the life of the entire experience. However, every member of the crew gave 110% to make the guests comfortable. The food was also excellent, as was the entertainment and activities on board organized by JP. THANK YOU JP for a wonderful time.

The itinerary was what interested us to take this cruise. However, while the ports were wonderful there was not enough free time in several of the ports. In several the ship docked up to 45 min away and we were bused. The included city walks were just an overview and then you were allowed minimal "free time" before you had to meet the bus to be transported back to the ship. There was one port that was overnight and another where the ship left at about 3AM. That was great as we could leave the ship and just walk into "old town" without worrying about missing the bus to get back to the ship.

In summary, Viking River Cruises are fun and if the traveler wants a combination of a wonderful ship experience and an overview of the ports in the itinerary, Viking will exceed those expectations.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

The cabin was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Although small, we were not cramped. There was plenty of closet and drawer space. My husband is 6'2" and he also felt there was plenty of room.
