Norwegian Escape balcony room 9912. we had chosen Norwegian, because it was the best bang for your buck or so we thought. we also choose ncl. because people said they loved the freestyle. (witch was one of the only good thing about the cruise.)

not being told when/where you could eat. the cruise we want on was my husband and my first cruise/vacation ever as adults. this cruise was also our honeymoon. now before i explain. why it was the trip from hell. on the embarkation we were rush and pushed though. just to wait in line for our room key. then to wait in another line to get aboard the ship. it just seemed pointless to rush us at customs. just have to wait in 2 lines. my husband and i are not picky people at all. but for what we paid for this cruise was not wroth it at all. the way 90% of the crew and officers treated us. was not worth prepaying the service charges.

on the first day we had gone to the buffet to eat. my husband had gotten some food that was under cooked and i got sick the first night and puked my brains out. my husband had gotten something hard in his food. that cut his gum and gave him a tooth infection by the 2nd day. from the under cooked food he had eaten. so we went to the medical bay. the nurse had said it was 149.00 plus medicine and supplies. so we where thinking 500 to 600 bucks at most and when we got back we would submit it to our insurance. we had asked if it would come out of the account or would we get a bill. she had said he would get a bill. witch was a lie! since we didn't have that much money and wanted to enjoy our vacation and go on ship excursion's. when we got to the islands. so my husband wanted to wait and see if he would feel better. since he wasn't in as much pain at that time. but by the 3rd his face had swelled and he was in a lot more pain. so we went to the medical bay and had asked the same questions and she gave the same answers. so he got treated and that night he got the bill. it was 1,257.00 for 1 hour of medical service. some ibuprofen and antibiotic. they also had put it on the account and had taken all the money he had.

Cabin Review

Aft-facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

The room steward was awesome! he was very friendly and made us towel animals almost every night! he cleaned our room 2 times a day. bathroom was very clean and gave us clean towel very day. most of the people said they didn't get clean towel when they asked. i think it was because we would talk to him and told him thank you! every time we had seen him. it's always a good idea to treat people with respect and thank them. you always get more flies with honey then vinegar. meaning better service!

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

very friendly people and great for gay/lesbian couples or single people. i had only shopped at places that had rainbows on the doors. to indicate friendly to gay/lesbian people. virgin islands are a must to visit! the most beautiful of the islands we stopped at!

Miami

a lot of homeless people that had needles in their arms just laying there. very sad to see. do not leave the tourist areas or the rich side of town. also very expensive to visit! we had used safe cruise parking since they are the cheapest parking and very friendly.

Tortola

virgin islands are a must to visit! the virgin islands are the most beautiful of the islands we stopped at! friendly people and beautiful to just look at. but the island looked a little run down. roads are covered in pot holes and a lot of open sewers on Tortola. but the best places to shop are outside of the tourist mall that is by ships. they are cheaper for trinkets and mementos. but the shops at the mall by the ships are not bad ether.

Nassau

the Bahamas Nassau was the dirtiest of all the stops. it was a hit or miss on how friendly people are. some had their head up there butt and some were nice. we had seen a lot of army men with machine guns. but of all the islands customs was the nicest. the guards said your name and said have a nice day. none of the other stops did that. to forewarn you it sucks getting back on the boat. easy getting off the boat. but a pain to get back on! also they tell you not to wait in the staircases. yet everyone did it. they also didn't do anything about it risking everyone's safety.
