Chose this cruise at short notice because it was a 2-week duration, the price was reasonable and the destination was appealing. The 4-day journey to the islands was cold, windy and wet (San Francisco to Hilo), so outdoor and balcony activities were limited. The weather during the four days in Hawaii was warm and sunny and very enjoyable. Went on two shore excursions; waterfall and lava fields on the Big Island, and a Zodiac boat trip and snorkel on the remote Na Pali coastline on Kauai, both very good. Food, mainly in the Horizon Court, was generally good, but some foods were decidedly cool/cold (e.g. potatoes) and most desserts had nuts on/in them which is not so good for people who have nut allergies. The crew and staff were helpful and very courteous, as usual. Entertainment was reasonable; particularly liked Doug Funk with his version of comedy. The ship itself was OK but seemed to be showing its age a little. Disappointed in not being able to play something like "paddle tennis" on the sports court; the only activity conducted there was shooting basket ball hoops! Princess provides a comfortable mode of travel with good food at a reasonable price and we look forward to traveling with them again in the future.
Comfortable beds, balcony on the small side but satisfactory. Television system antiquated. Cabin was towards the aft end of the ship and the pulsing from the engine could be "felt" even when lying in bed; it wasn't predominant and didn't stop us sleeping well.
Smooth operation embarking on the ship.
Nice place. We did our own thing and caught a bus to a nearby resort to go snorkelling. Nice day, lots of fish to see, but the water was a bit rough coming on to the beach.
Only a short stop at this city so not a lot of opportunity to do much. Had a short stroll ashore, it's an OK place; nice weather.
