Sail Date: Apr 2017

We chose this cruise because we had never sailed to Hawaii and I wanted to see how well I would do on long Sea Days across an Ocean.

The embarkation went very quickly and there was no wait, we boarded around 1:15 pm. This disembarkation was running about 45 minutes late for each group so we just sat and waited for our color to be called. We paid for the transfer to get back to the airport and the transfer went smoothly. Princess requires you to leave your cabin by 8 AM and has designated rooms to wait in.

The ship is showing it's age and it seems funny to even write this, but there were buckets of water to catch dripping water on almost all of the floors in one location or the other. We did not worry at all and she appeared to be a nice sturdy ship other than it is strange to have to walk around a bucket of water.

Cabin Review

We stayed in a mini suite on Deck 9 in their new Club Class Mini Suite. The suite was very clean and I loved having a bathtub to read in late at night. The suite also had 2 tvs . The mini suites are just a tad larger than a balcony room. The Club Class designation had no real extra value for us, other than it is in the very middle of the deck and we were able to eat whenever we wanted to in a special dining room with no waiting to get in. They had one or two menu items that were cooked near our table by a chef but we usually ordered off the regular menu. We were fortunate to get a good deal on the Club Class Mini Suite, but it is the same as the other Mini Suites with the exception of what I mentioned above plus two half bottles of wine in our stateroom.
