My sister and I chose this four-day Pacific Coastal cruise for this year's trip because it departed from LA, and visited Santa Barbara. Embarkation was a breeze; Princess really handles both the embarkation and debarkation processes extremely well. We arrived at the port, handed over our luggage to porters, and parked in the parking lot adjacent to Pier 93. Once inside, we were in the group waiting area within 15 minutes.

Our cabin was on Deck 14, very convenient for all of the activities on the decks and close to the Sanctuary area that we intended to visit, but never made it there. It was extremely clean and had a surprising amount of space for clothes, shoes and other items we brought on board.

We were surprised to read complaints about the temperature of the food on board. We tried a variety of menu items at dinner and all of them were very good and served at the proper temperature. The last night we both had the New York Strip and vegetables, and our steak was perfectly cooked medium rare as we requested. Service in the dining room was excellent, thanks to our waiter Ven and assistant Richard.

Balcony

Cabin BF

Our balcony cabin had plenty of storage space for our clothes, a safe, a few shelves and a desk area. It was a four-night cruise, so we didn't pack more than one suitcase each, and there were hangers and space to spare in the closet area. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, far beyond our expectations. While the balcony wasn't very big, it was large enough for two chairs and a side table, which was all we needed.
