My wife and I where excited at booking this cruise for our 25th anniversary celebration.we strter planning early August 2016. We booked excursions, had plane fares ready and also planned to stay in Venice, Italy extra time before and after the cruise. When we arrived at the port, tired from the night before due to a missed connection in Istanbul, Turkey. Having to stay in the airport overnight due to a missed manged airline delay. We now stood in line for approx 40 minutes to get into the port. Unknown to us there was 1600 passengers from Idina background that had booked this cruise too. There was one of there spiritual leaders and they took over the cruise as if it where there own personal ship. The cruise staff also cater to this group forgetting the other paying customers, there was an abundance of Indian Cusine at thye buffet, morning , afternoon and night. I don't perticular ly care for that sort of food, I expected to be tasting Italian and Greek food, since that was the origin of our voyage. These passengers where ,rude, arrogant and acted like there was no other passages around. At the buffet line they would judt cut right in front of you, no excuse me, just walk up in front of you and help them self to food. On the excursion which they would alos be on with there own guides and tours. The same attitude would apply. My wife and other passengers would refer to them as locus swarms, they would just take over with their sheer numbers without regard for anyone not in their group.

The excursion office on the shiphone sends me a letter cancelling one of my excursion. THE BEST OF CORFU, the night before. When I went down to find out why, they explained that a larger group booked this excursion and since they needed the space I and my wife had to be canceled. We booked this excursion back in 2016. The counter personnel told me it was due to this large group they were dealing with. We where then given two choices, pick one of the lesser excursion they had available or find something on shore. This was not only upsetting but, unfair. This attitude was everyday through out the cruise. Other passengers I spoke with, not with the "locust" Group had the same experiences. One passenger told me that at one point they asked his wife to get out of her seat at the theater, because they wanted to take a picture and she was in the way. No politely etheur, who the hell they think they are. Unfortunately, the leadership of the cruise forgot the other passengers and catere to this group too. The buffet was always some Indian cuisine with klittle other choices, this took away the ability to cook other food varities. Fortunately my wife and I made the best of the situation and managed to have our own fun on excursion and on our own. The entertainment staff was also very focused on pleasing

This large group that they barely interacted with other none" locust" passengers. We really felt left out of activities and we where just Stanby'ers whatching others being entertained. Especially at the night life. It was a shame that this cruise line forgot, that there where other paying customers on board, felt like a second class citizen, nit special like their advertising says. What should of been a wonderful memory for our first trip to Italy and Greece is just a bad memory. I have to add that the ancillary staff like the dinning room, our cabin Stewart and bar personnel where very nuce. They too had their bad taste from this group of passengers. There was another special reason for this cruise and it was to spread my m I there ashes as per her final whish to me. Thought it took them a while to get back to me about my wish to put my mother's ashes to sea. The manager, jhis name was Hilton, finally did honor my request and we where given permission and assistance to do this. He and his staff was very respectful and helpful on getting this done. Thank you Hilton and staff. This was the Hugh light of our cruise exoerience. I would probably not use MSC again at this point. However, there was another cruise liner The Riviera the followed us. I'm thinking of looking into that one. Maybe they will treat us like royalty... as well they should!!

Put our cabin Stewart was great, always busy keeping or room clean and comfy! Thank you Puto!! Kudos to you for making an unplaseant experience comfortable, since we spent most of our on board time in cabin. Dude to being ignored out on the ship..
