This was a first cruise for me and my 15-year old. We loved the dining room food and had wonderful service from Rodney and Cynthia. The only appetizer during the 9 days that didn't pass muster with our table was QUICKLY replaced on request - dinner was a great experience to look forward to each day. We had the second sitting and that worked well for this cruise as many of the port days went right up to the beginning of the first sitting. The Windjammer buffet food was not so terrific...more like a community buffet with mass quantities of steam-tray food. Desserts in the dining room were awesome - elsewhere on the ship more like what you would get from the grocery store. (Can you tell we liked the dining room?). There were three comedy headliners on our cruise and each of them was so funny we laughed until we cried, and the Royal Caribbean singers and dancers were fun to watch. I loved the "behind the scenes" theatre tour on the last day. We went on three excursions, two of which were terrible and the third just "ok". We felt that the descriptions didn't accurately reflect the stops on the tour or the amount of walking and our tour guides weren't very knowledgeable. If we did it again I would arrange my own excursions or simply use the time walking around the port. We had a large inside room, deck 4 in the center of the ship and it was pretty steady through the cruise. The cabin was a "large" inside and we felt like there was enough space (we weren't expecting a lot). Housekeeping did a nice job, coming in 2 times a day and leaving cute towel animals on the bed at night. A few operational issues left me stymied: the bar was out of pinot grigio on day 2 (it's one of their house wines) and the frozen yogurt machine only worked intermittently. We didn't make use of the teen activities because we had trouble finding them and then it appeared to be all younger kids. RC could have done a better job of reaching out to the few older teens on this cruise. All in all an enjoyable time.

Cabin Review

Cabin in

Steady location where you don't feel a lot of ship movement. Not much drawer or closet space (expected). Bathroom/shower is tiny. Beds very comfortable. Close to the atrium for convenience, but you don't hear any of the noise.
