Overall scoring: I gave the staff a 5 because they totally deserved it. I gave Royal Caribbean a 3 so the average came to 4 stars. The customer service we felt we were given by what seemed like all the staff was over the top. The issues I feel like we had seemed to be all corporate related decisions. I paid $1,375.00 for a balcony room... just the cruise... this is before internet and beverages, before tips and shore excursions. Maybe the ship was too big and we didn't find it, but it seemed like right after getting back on the boat after shore excursions and after later shows we could not find any food that was not a pay yourself. It felt like this cruise more than any others I've taken were more about making money off me (other than the $1,375.00). The days we were at sea finding free food at odd times seemed frustrating. The buffet closed down from like 3:30-5:00 or something like that and the ice cream machines all shut down by 5:00 each day. Really? Some of the sporting stuff seemed to close periodically. We have done family cruises every several years for a while and the last one before this one was on Carnival... one of the things my family still talks about was the Guys burger place that seemed like it was open 24 hours. We we got back on board after being on shore and we would all meet at the burger place and have a burger (like a pre-dinner) because we had the later dinning room dinner. One favorite thing was also getting an ice cream cone right after getting out of a show or after dancing in a club for a bit... also seemed like we could get one any time we wanted. Another thing I noticed was the water... it felt like getting a glass of water was difficult. In the pizza place the water station was around a corner that someone found by accident. Just trying to keep the kids hydrated. Was this another ploy to get us to buy the bottled water package? It felt like alot of things were set up to get more money. I want to feel like I paid for an all inclusive vacation, this one not so much.

Honestly, if the staff weren't so awesome I'm not sure I would try RC again.

The talent on board with all the shows were phenomenal!!!
