Departure from Port Canaveral, FL for a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise. This was our first cruise, we booked cheap and stayed in the interior cabins. We were delighted to find out that Royal Caribbean provides a Catholic Priest on board during Holy Week. He was wonderful and we had a great time celebrating daily, Good Friday, Easter Sunday Masses on board. The kids (preteen) had ample things to do. Zip lining, ice skating and surfing were some of their favourites. We travelled with another family with a toddler. The toddler even had fun things to do, like the pool and kids activity center. We ate abundantly with the restaurants provided. We felt no need to pay extra for the other restaurants on board. Lots of food and drinks at every major deck. The shows were incredible in their delivery and creativity. Definitely a highlight. Port shopping was also enjoyable. We opted to get our own taxi to drive us around. Never felt unsafe. The people there were all friendly and accommodating. The only one thing that spoiled the trip, was that our son was bitten (20-30) times by bedbugs in his cabin. My daughter who was staying in the same room also had been bitten too (10-15). We provided feedback to Royal Caribbean, but have yet to hear back from them.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

Not wanting to spend too much, we booked the cheapest rooms available. The interior cabin was cozy and had plenty of cubbies and cubicles to make one self feel at home. The bed was great. The bathroom had all that one needs. We lucked out, however, our kids who stayed in the room beside us was infested with bed bugs. My children came out of the cruise full of bed bug bites. This is unfortunate, since we would've thoroughly enjoyed our first cruise otherwise.
