Embarkation went quickly and smoothly. We boarded the ship to a room that was almost ready (dirty towel and robe left in closet) but the stateroom attendant fixed it up in no time. Along with a bottle of champagne provided by our travel agent. We changed into swim attire and headed up for lunch and swimming. By the time we got back, our room was perfect. We LOVED having the Panoramic window in our panoramic oceanview room. It provided us with a tad more room but a wonderful view. The ship had so much to entertain our family of 4. Ice skating rink with an ice performance show, rock climbing wall with so many routes to climb up, FloRider boogie board simulator, pools and water play area (even a lazy river-type pool!), mini golf course, adult solarium and quiet pool with the wonderful hot tubs that sat over the edge of the ship and had amazing views of the ocean and ports of call. The Ocean Adventure youth staff was fantastic. My kids were in the 6-8 and 9-11 clubs and never wanted to leave! We enjoyed being able to leave them for dinner once or twice as well, so we could enjoy the occasional quiet meal. The shows and headliners were amazing. In particular, Drew Thomas the magician and Edge Effect acapella group were our favorites. The Once Upon a Time theater show was excellent too. The Freedom singers and dancers were fantastic and so kind when we would see them around the ship. We did the Behind the Scenes of Theater tour on the last day, that was a nice experience. Our stateroom attendant was good and made the cute towel animals a few times for the kids to enjoy. Our waiters in the My Time Dining room were amazing! I didn't think we would like My Time Dining, but wow was it a good choice! As long as you make reservations in advance, which was no problem to do, you could request the same waiters and even the same table each night. On Day 2 we made reservations for the rest of the cruise and were able to have both the same waiters and our same table. The pizza place on Deck 5 was great for lunch or an afternoon slice. Ports of Calls were so great- Labadee for the private RC beach, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts. We had all 4 back to back, followed by 2 days at sea to return back to port of origin. That worked well with being able to relax and enjoy the features of the ship at the end. 8 nights, Eastern Caribbean. Traveled as a family with 2 kids, would absolutely do it again! Next time on another RC ship, as we learned they perform the same feature shows for many, many years and we would want to enjoy something different next time. But what a great vacation we had!!

Cabin Review

Panoramic Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin P2

We loved having the panoramic window in our oceanview stateroom!! Not only was it an amazing view each morning, evening and while arriving into a new port, it provided a bit more room in the cabin. King bed (I believe) was near the window, a few feet and then the couch. I was a bit concerned putting both of my kids in the sofa bed, but it expended into a double that was partially divided between the two halves. The stateroom attendant provided 2 separate sets of pillows/duvet as well, making the kids more happy. Standard cruise bathroom with small shower and one sink. Desk/vanity area was long, plenty of closet and drawer space for clothes/items for 4 (over-packed) suitcases of stuff. Lots of under-bed storage for those suitcases after we unpacked.

Port Reviews

San Juan

Shopping and old town San Juan were nice. Stopped by Senor Frogs for a yard of frozen drinks.

St. Maarten

Loved the experience of airport Maho beach! Grabbed a local taxi just by the port, prices were well marked and not too steep.
