We traveled from Melbourne to Sydney as a quick getaway. The ship was in good order and everything went very smoothly. I did find that the crew had a habit of leaving some "Crew Access" doors open occasionally which led me to think that the crew lacks a little discipline. This was our first cruise with Princess and it was unusual for us to see the variety of countries of origin of the staff as we are used to a high level of Asian staff.

We really did not have anything to complain about except that the promenade deck was the place where people were allowed to smoke and if you wanted to walk around the ship for a little exercise you had to walk thru the cloud of smoke. The promenade deck was not the only place that smokers could indulge, but every time we walked in that area there was quite a few people smoking.

The only other complaint was that the fwd part of the promenade deck which is actually Deck 7.5 was closed more often than it was open. The fwd section is the ideal place to get a protected view of the fwd view of the ships progress but was continuously closed.

Cabin Review

Oceanview

Cabin OF

Cabin was clean and tidy. Was small but adequate. The arrangement for storage was a very good idea as it allowed us to have the suitcases open and accessible rather than having to put them in a cupboard, especially since the cruise was only 2 nights. The bathroom was quite small but adequate.
