This was a family get together over spring break with 6 adults and 2 kids, 9 and 12. Embarkation was a piece of cake, disembarkation a bit more hectic and time consuming. Ship is one of the prettiest ships I've been on! Great crew and staff, very eager to please but not overly aggesive. Dining room is pretty, great staff, but very typical food, rather bland and lacks excitement. Menus seemed very repetitive with just a few exotic dishes here and there. Windjammer is typical buffet, kept clean and full with staff wandering to provide drinks, assistance and the occasional bowl of ice cream or cookie! Ship entertainers and musicians all did a fine job, great headlining acts, James Stephens III was our favorite! Ports were all fine, Roatan we did a private excursion, Belize I booked through Viator, Costa Maya and Cozumel were booked through the ship. Costa Maya is great for snorkeling and diving, small fishing town, not much there. We did a scenic overview and then headed back to ship. If we hadn't had kids with us might have wandered and shopped a bit. Other ports were all fine! On sea days, kids spent time with Adventure Club activities. We did a bit of trivia, the Harry Potter was a great one (our 9 year old niece aced it and was thrilled with her official Royal ink pen)! Casino was not my favorite, several choices but tended to get a bit smoky, crowded and loud. We spent less time than usual in there as I travel with portable oxygen and had a tough time with the smoke. For this trip was not truly a big deal as we were focusing on family time anyways! My only true issues with this trip were snafu in dining room on first night when our group was not kept together for dinner. This was corrected for the following night but as our reservations were linked for about a year found this to be unimpressive. My other beef is this new room service fee. One of my favorite parts of cruising is ordering breakfast on port days. The continental choices are lackluster, attention to detail is lacking and several times order was close but not quite right. I know that $7.95 isn't a big deal, it's the principal of the thing...

Notes:

1. Kids loved the trip! Soda package was perfect, Adventure Club was enjoyed and activities were easily found. Great for their age group!

Cabin Review

Panoramic Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin PV

Panoramic view was great but window was not perfectly "clear" due to ocean spray and rain. Missed having a balcony but thrilled to have the larger window! Roomy cabin, tons of closet space and shelves. Several drawers as well, plenty for both of us for a 7 day trip. Bathroom was shower only, bit larger than I expected and again lots of shelves, cupboards and even a drawer! TV swivels which was great (small screen though) but able to watch from sofa (regular size, not a loveseat, yay)!
